Binding Tariff Information
So as to be certain of the customs duties payable upon import, binding tariff information (BTI) can be requested from Customs for a specific product. Such binding tariff information applies throughout the EU. Such a declaration is valid for 5 years, enabling the company to reduce the risk relating to the influence of import duties on this purchase price. Customs may for that matter decide to class the goods differently, as a result of which different import duties apply.
