Gross Registere Ton
The Gross Register Ton of a vessel is, generally speaking, the space underneath the tonnage deck or the main deck, as well as all covered and permanently closed areas above the tonnage deck. The gross register tonnage expresses the size of the vessel, is therefore a volume and is expressed in Moorsom tons.
