Delivered at frontier
Delivered At Frontier (DAF) means that the seller fulfils his delivery obligation when the cleared goods have been delivered at the designated border-crossing, at the designated frontier, yet before the customs frontier of the neighbouring country. The term frontier can be used for any frontier, including that of the exporting country. It is therefore vital that the frontier in question is described in detail, by always stating the border-crossing point and location in the conditions. The term DAF is mainly intended to be used in railway and road transport, but can also be used for any other mode of transport.
