General conditions

Placement of objects

1. The principal will inform us in writing of the weight of heavy objects and the maximum permissible floor load of the building in which such an object will be placed and/or moved and of the maximum permissible floor load of the path across which the object must be moved inside a building.

2. The principal will ensure that the place where the object will be loaded and unloaded and the path across which the object must be transported is cleared and offers sufficient space so that the object in question can be transported unimpeded.

3. The principal is liable for any acts and omissions of the persons that it uses in connection with the placement of the machine.

4. The principal is liable for the presence and condition of mounting points in order to mount hoisting gear. We are not liable for any damage that ensues from any deficiencies in this respect.

5. We are liable in respect of the acts and omissions of persons whom we use in the context of the work. We are not liable for acts and omissions of other persons who are present at the place of loading or unloading or in the business premises during internal transport if their presence gives rise to damage to the object or delays in performance.

6. The compensation that we will owe in connection with damage that occurs during internal transport at a place of loading or unloading will be limited to the AVC 2002 liability limits in the event of domestic transport or the CMR Convention in the event of cross-border transport.

7. The principal (or any third parties that it engages) is at all times liable with respect to penalties, including traffic fines and penalties for overloading, exceeding the Aslast limits, etc.
