Ocean freight

Seafreight

Transport of goods by sea meets all requirements for safety, convenience and accuracy while the relationship between speed, volume and price is very favorable. For a logistic forwarder who wants to optimize its services, communication and a global network are necessary instruments. Embassy Freight Rotterdam BV has its own offices or agents in major ports so goods, whatever kind or size, can be closely monitored anywhere. The Embassy Freight Group covers more than 10 thousand containers worldwide per year. Because of these large volumes each individual office can secure very competitive freight rates.
There are various types of sea freight, we can offer. The main types are:

LCL

LCL (Less than Container Load) . In Less Than Container Load, the cargo is less than a full container and the goods of various shippers are collected into one container. For most major destinations, there is a standard rate so that the customer will immediately know what an item costs together with a sailing list with the estimated time of departure (ETD) and estimated time of arrival (ETA) .

FCL

FCL (Full Container Load) . Full Container Load means that the shipper uses the full space of the container to transport goods. The Embassy staff know exactly what is happening with the goods and arrange every detail here too: - clearance - storage (temporary, customs control, etc. ) - packaging, warehousing, combined transportation, etc. Everything is possible.

Breakbulk

Breakbulk the shipment on a containership of cargo that is too large to load into a container. In such case, a platform is made of flat containers (= flat beds) on which the cargo is loaded and secured.
Flexibag
A flexibag is used to lower the transport costs of bulk (both solid and liquid). This ranges from solid bulk of 10-50kg to dry bulk container liners and to liquid bulk flexi tanks for use in 20ft to 40ft containers, reefer containers and truck trailers for the standard volumes from 10000 to 28000 liters.

Conventional shipping

The transport of conventional cargo means that the goods (pallets, boxes, barrels, bags, tubes, bulk, etc) are loaded aboard the ship and put down without first placing it in a container. Weather conditions have a major impact on the transit times of conventional shipping.

Roll on/Roll off (Ro/Ro)

A Roll on / Roll off vessel is equipped with a rear tailgate and mainly used to transport all kinds of rolling stock. Most of the Ro / Ro vessels can also carry containers and are therefore sometimes called Con / Ro vessels.
