Dual use goods

It’s important for any company that exports cargo, to be informed of regulations regarding strategic goods, such as military material and Dual Use goods. Dual Use Goods are items, software and technologies that are commonly intended for civil purposes but can have a possible military application, or may contribute to the production or distribution of weapons of mass destruction (for example, nuclear weapons, chemical or biological weapons). Various International treaties regulate the trade of such items. They cannot be exported or carried without a licence. For some commodities, export to certain countries is prohibited. These rules are enforced by local customs authorities.
